What's new in group exercise

The new academic year brings fresh updates to UniSport's group exercise classes! In August, we’ll introduce new English-language categories and class names. In September the selection will expand with exciting new classes. Come and give them a try – see you in class!

New categories

  • Strength and endurance → Power & Energy 
  • Body control → Wellness & Balance 
  • Yoga & Pilates 
  • Dance 
  • Indoor Cycling → Spin 

New classes

During the autumn season, new classes will be added to the schedule, and some familiar ones will be renamed. Here are the upcoming new classes:

  • Mindful Moment CMIF® – A guided session for pausing and strengthening presence and mindfulness skills
  • Physio Neck & Back – An updated Neck and back class! A physiotherapist-led group exercise session to ease and mobilize the body
  • Power Circuit – An effective circuit training workout held at the gym
  • Running Intensive – Previously called "Running fitness"; a running workout suitable for those looking for interval training
  • Running Easy – A relaxed group run of about 40 minutes
  • Spin HIIT – A high-intensity indoor cycling class that gets your heart rate up
  • Stairs – A sweaty and efficient stair workout outdoors
  • Indoor Cardio – Interval training using treadmills or other cardio equipment (starting in November)
  • Shake a break! – A dance-inspired movement break session
