Carefree Shoulders
Welcome to have a little break with us! Carefree shoulders is a refreshing 15-minute guided workout that relieves tension and focuses specifically on the back and shoulder area.
Carefree Shoulders is suitable for everyone. There is no need to register, and anyone who is interested will be welcome to join the Carefree shoulders sessions. You don’t need exercise equipment or clothing. Participate wherever you want!
Carefree shoulders in Autumn
On the campuses the schedule of the sessions will be as follows:
- City Centre: Wednesdays from 12:30 to 12:45, Kaisa House, main library guidance corner (Fabianinkatu 30).
- City Centre, musiikkitalo: Wednesdays from 13:15 to 13:30, Agora Lounge, 1st floor, (Töölönlahdenkatu 16 C).
- Viikki: Tuesdays from 13:00 to 13:15, Biocenter 2, 1st floor lobby (Viikinkaari 5).
- NEW! Viikki: Tuesdays from 13:30 to 13:45, Biocenter 2, 1st floor lobby (Viikinkaari 5).
- Otaniemi: Tuesdays from 14:00 to 14:15, Learning Centre, 2nd floor, "foyer", (Otaniementie 9).
- NEW! Otaniemi: Tuesdays from 14:30 to 14:45, Väre building, from the lobby take the stairs to the ground floor (Otaniementie 14).
In addition, Carefree shoulders sessions will be streamed through the MyWellness platform as follows:
- Mondays from 12:15 to 12:30
- thursdays from 11:30 to 11:45

Break Pro break exercise program
The Break Pro program is available to every student and staff member at the Aalto University, University of Helsinki, Hanken and Uniarts. The Break Pro break exercise program is your tool for taking breaks from sitting down and working. It offers short and refreshing break exercises in many languages for example in Finnish, English and Swedish. You can schedule the program to remind you of your breaks in your own daily timetable.
Install the Break Pro software or from the application stores and log in to the program by entering your university e-mail address (form helsinki.fi, aalto.fi, hanken.fi or uniarts.fi).
