Customer group changes at UniSport starting 1 July 2026

UniSport will strengthen its role as the university community’s sports and wellbeing organisation starting from 1 July 2026 and will make changes to its customer group structure.

Starting from 1 July 2026, UniSport will offer its services exclusively to the university community and the universities’ affiliate/preferred customer groups, strengthening its role as a supporter of the wellbeing of the university community.

UniSport is a sports and wellbeing operator owned by the University of Helsinki, Aalto University, Hanken School of Economics and the University of the Arts Helsinki. The change in customer groups supports UniSport’s mission to provide high-quality sports and wellbeing services to university community members.

Customers belonging to the normal-price and pensioner-price customer groups (excluding retirees from the owner universities) can purchase UniSport’s services until 30 June 2026 and use the products according to their validity period. An exception to this are single and regular bookings at the Kumpula ball sports hall (for example badminton), which will remain available for everyone also after 30 June 2026.

Services for preferred customers will remain available for purchase and use as before, with the exception of massage services, which can be purchased until 30 June 2026. After this, massage services will be available for purchase only by members of the university community. Massages purchased by the end of June can be used within their validity period.

In connection with the customer group change, we will clarify in our terms of use that the student status entitling to the benefit price refers to a student of a Finnish upper secondary institution or higher education institution.
