Join UniSport Buddy

UniSport Buddy is a low-threshold platform where you can find a sports buddy, for example, for a workout, ball games or jogging. Anyone can join, and you do not need to be a UniSport customer to use the service. The UniSport Buddy is a great way to find new friends and get more motivation for exercise.

How does the UniSport Buddy work?

• The conversations take place in the Signal app, which can be downloaded to your phone and computer.
• You can start a conversation or reply to other people’s messages – tell them the sport for which you are looking for a buddy.
• You can start the conversation in English, Finnish or Swedish.
• Please note that a new member cannot see the conversation history in Signal, so feel free to start the discussion yourself!

Rules and safety

• The group follows UniSport’s safer space principles. Moderators follow the group, as needed. If you notice inappropriate behaviour, please report it to the moderator through a private message.
• Conversations should focus on exercise-related topics. 
• Please always exercise caution when meeting new people, as everyone uses the service and meets with workout buddies at their own risk. We recommend arranging the first meeting in a public place.
• In Signal, you can hide your phone number to protect your privacy, if you wish. Read more about hiding the phone number here
