Sports background and work experience

From 2012 onwards, I have worked as a full-time Personal Trainer and entrepreneur. I originally trained as a designer, but already during my student years, I noticed that I wanted to spend my free time training and learning about well-being. After years as a personal trainer, I can say that coaching is my true passion! I have always done a range of sports from skiing to body weight training. Throughout the years, muscle training has been a part of my life. I have also engaged in a variety of sports such as Kendo, fencing and parkour.

Strengths

I have expertise in strength training techniques and programmes for improving performance using both free weights and body weight. I can also help you improve your mobility and enhance your ability to recover after sports, as well as promote your well-being through lifestyle changes. I have experienced overtraining, and therefore I especially emphasise the importance of listening to your own body, the quality of sleep, metabolism and stress management.

My coaching is suited for a regular exercise enthusiast, who wants to improve their fitness level and engage in sports in a safe manner, as my training focuses on performance, posture and painless everyday life. My customers have told me that I have a clear and patient coaching style, and that I am actively present.

My own training

My own training consists mainly of strength training through which I develop my performance for bouldering, parkouring and fencing. It is a combination of body weight training and weight training involving a range of compression strength and leap exercises. I do daily body care and mobility exercises, because I want to look after my posture, and I have noticed that the exercises keep me pain-free. I currently practice parkour 1 to 3 times a week, and bouldering occasionally.
