Physical activity background and work experience

I have worked as a group exercise instructor for more than 10 years and have enjoyed sharing the joy of physical activity with different people. In addition to being a group instructor, I wanted to deepen my competence in individual coaching and studied to become a personal trainer. On top of practical PT studies, the one-year training included university studies in sports and health sciences and nutrition. I also work as a psychologist.

I have not always been physically active; instead, I found a motivation for sports in my 20s when I noticed how good it made me feel. I first got interested in group exercise and running, and nowadays my sports of choice are gym training and cycling.

Strengths

When coaching, I combine my competence in psychology and sports to support you in changing your lifestyle, finding joy in physical activity and building exercise and nutritional habits that suit you. For example, if you are thinking about starting exercising, getting back to training after a break, if you want to get to know the techniques of gym training, or you need new inspiration for your workout, I would be delighted to help you!

My coaching approach is active, people-oriented and starts with the individual. I find it important that the training motivates you, is challenging in a suitable way and that you listen to your body while training. When implementing lifestyle changes, I believe in the power of small steps and a holistic approach that takes the well-being of mind and body into consideration.
